Crafted at Powdermills

Crafted at Powdermills is a countryside padel destination set within a hotel and members’ club in Battle, East Sussex. Home to the first Crafted Padel Club, the venue combines premium padel facilities with an exceptional setting surrounded by ancient woodland, open countryside and a seven-acre lake. Located on Powdermill Lane, it offers hotel guests and members a chance to enjoy padel, wellness and social experiences in one of East Sussex’s most picturesque locations.

The venue currently features two outdoor padel courts, with plans to expand its facilities in the future. Courts are available for 60-minute bookings, with opening hours from 8am to 3pm during autumn and winter and 7am to 9pm throughout summer. Padel rackets are available to hire or purchase, while balls can also be bought on site. Guests and members can reserve courts up to 14 days in advance, making it easy to incorporate padel into their regular routine or countryside stay.

The Crafted Padel Club membership is available for £40 a month and includes discounted court hire, priority booking, a complimentary weekly social and reduced equipment hire. Weekly coaching runs for beginner and advanced players in small groups of up to 10, helping players build technique and confidence. Regular socials and ranking sessions keep play friendly and competitive, with tournaments combining padel, food and music planned for the future.

Beyond the courts, Crafted at Powdermills offers a life-friendly lifestyle experience, with lakeside wellness facilities, wild swimming, dining, cocktails, craft workshops and overnight accommodation. Before or after a game, The Pub and Dining Room, and the café are open to everyone. The lakeside sauna, hot tub, pool, gym and members’ spaces are reserved for hotel guests and Crafted members, so for the full experience, stay the night or become a member.

Corporate padel experiences can also form part of team-building days, client events and business retreats.
